Hey guys, I appreciate any help. My wife noticed the underneath light lens on the passenger side mirror has been busted. Less than three weeks with the truck (2019 1500 Classic but new to us). Does anyone know where I can find a part number? I'll look up vids for replacement. But Mopar isn't giving me a "mirror" at all in searches. So I have to be calling it something wrong. "Exterior, eastside reflective device illuminated for nocturnal departures of your purchase"? I haven't tried that one yet. To be open. Passenger mirror lens.jpeg

Thanks, guys. I sincerely appreciate the help. That, I do believe, is the part I need Benny. The steps to replace it have looked pretty brutal, to be open. One guy's vid shows him just about yanking the mirror glass out. I guess he has an extra $200-300 for another assembly if all fails. I don't. Or won't. Measure five times.... cut once.... I see the prices out there vary wildly on the part. Some obviously not OEM. But thanks, guys. I'll probably be giving you guys a call soon. I would like to get a tailgate "spoiler" as it's called also. Mine's been mauled by something. Otherwise, awesome truck.

Rotate the mirror glass down
I use gloves for the next part
Insert 2 fingers of each hand behind the top of the mirror glass
, put your thumbs on the mirror glass face

Now give your fingers a slight tug, the upper clips on the glass should release from the upper clips that hold the glass to the electric motor behind the mirror glass

It may take a 2nd tug, just a bit harder

When the upper clips release, look behind the mirror glass to see how the 2 lower clips release, i think it is wiggle a bit as you are lifting

You will then disconnect the wires & set the mirror glass aside

Now look at the bottom of the outer housing, some where near the center, you should see a clip that needs to be moved aside just enough to work the bottom light out.

Clean the area where the edges of the light will fit to the housing

If you look at the inside of the housing, you can easily see how to remove the mirror motor, if you ever have to

Good Luck

Thanks, GT. Your description sounds like what I watched, albeit with a more careless approach in the video. That guy was brutal. But I need to get with Benny to get the lens assembly and get on with it. This weekend will be a month we've had the Classic. Regretful we've already having to replace broken parts. Interstate rock, I'm sure.

If you move glass all the way in 1st you can get a small flat head driver to pop it out 1st then move it back straight and all the way down. I screwed up a motor cause the glass wouldnt release.
Just my findings that made it easier while i was having another sets cover painted to match.

Hey guys, back again. I've finally made time to replace the puddle light. I won't bore you with the why I'm just getting to it. I'm in law enforcement... Anyhow, I'm down to the last step of putting the mirror back in. It won't go. What am I doing wrong? The lower clips are matched but the metal clips up top? Where do they go? Appreciate any insight.

10-22. Cancel that. I found the snap in clips on the back of the mirror go into the square box. The metal clips ride the diagonal pieces behind the square box. Hope that helps someone else's weekend.

Most of the dealerships service depts will tell you that when you break the mirror glass, that you have to buy a whole mirror, housing & everything. I don't think that they ever checked with the Parts Dept.
The parts dept carries the mirror glass & mirror lights

Also if you have the internet, you can buy mirror glass, or tilt motor & outer shells, mirror lights & maybe more.

You can go to auto dismantling yards & buy a broken mirror that has most of the parts that you may need

No, i was not wired, after my mirror was stuck by a baseball bat or lumber sticking out of someone vehicle.
I wanted to learn how they are assembled
