Mirrors with the signal lights

im going to be buying some mirrors for my ram express but i want to buy the ones with the signal light on them but they are telling me that the signal light wont work... is there a way i can make them work??

Cant he just run wires from the mirrors to the turn signals in the heads?

^ That's what I was wondering? If you hardwire the mirror lights into your existing turn signals, it has to work. It will take some hacking, and running of wires...

Since the heads are traditional incandescent elements compared to the LED's in the mirror it would probably be safe to wire directly from the heads without even incorporating a relay.

Pretty much on the 2012 you can not reflash the computer for the turn signals to work. Doesn't matter if it's an express/st or a lonestar/big horn. If you don't choose the luxury group then you're screwed. Maybe you could hardwire but I don't see the point of rewiring a whole truck

sure you can. just need to run 1 wire per side from the headlights to the mirrors. Then run a ground close to the mirror.

Since you are getting the power mirrors the harness should already include a ground/all the wiring for the turns. Not sure where that harness ends/are you buying the one that comes all the way from the ECU?

You only need to hit the one wire on the harness that is actually for the turn signals with the wire you run back from the heads.

Yep totally do able. Just make sure you get sidemirrors with LED's so you don't draw a lot of current.
