2015 2500 Mega Limited (6.4) 4X4 and it is missing the "Power Hop Damper" any idea what determines if they come on the truck? I am talking about the third rear shock that connects horizontally to the center of the differential and frame, Part # 68187985AB.

Could be due to having the mega cab. You don't get it with the Cummins

Thanks,

So maybe I should be asking, "Anyone else with a 2014/15 2500 Mega cab, 6.4
missing theirs"?

There was another thread about this early on that I can't seem to find. No 6.4 megacab has it. IMHO, they should!

My '15 Mega doesn't have it. I think it has to do with the driveline angles. The longer distance from output to diff yoke the shallower the angles are on the driveshaft. With the shallower angle the pinion doesn't have as much leverage to creep up on hard acceleration.
That would be my best guess.
The nicest thing to give Ram a hand for is not using a driveshaft with a center carrier bearing! 1 piece FTW!

Honestly that shock is just a bandaid for Rams poor bushing design. Kinda like people putting massive steering stabilizers on trucks to 'stop' death wobble. It doesn't work.
If you're having wheel hop issues look into aftermarket rear arms with stiffer bushings or heim joints. That's the only cure... Why dampen when you can stop it completely?
