Mobil Oil Filter: Large vs Small?

I believe the newer trucks use a smaller filter. Does anyone know if the old filter can be used?

Old: M1-210
New: M1-113

Apologies. I searched and read at least 6 threads, one that has 50 pages, didn't see it. I was curious if there were any trade offs to the larger size such as clearance etc. Thank you.

What about going bigger than a M1-210? Anyone know a part # for one that'd work? I'd like the extra space for more crude holding capacity than the standard Extended mileage filter offers.
