Here is what the rotors look like today after a few miles...you can see the silver finish where the pads have worn the black off the face of the rotor...

Now that you have driven a little more how clean are those pads? whatever pads are on my truck right now are really dusty and im looking for some for the front that are less dusty

Sorry for being absent the past few days. The brakes are doing great. In all honesty, rotors and pads alone will help with braking, but they are not a HUGE improvement like you would get from a larger caliper with 3 or 4 pistons. I mainly put these on because they look great, and the Geenstuff pads produce very little dust. I have run these pads on my last 4 trucks now and have been very happy with them.

I installed the diff cover tonight and replaced the diff fluid with Royal Purple. I will snap a picture in the morning when it is light out because the pics I took tonight look terrible.

Did you paint your Hellwig sway bar?

I have 6 rear covers in stock right now, so no problem there. I didn't reply in that other thread after a not so considerate vendor decided to act like he was 13 and his mother didn't teach him any manners.

And I did not paint the Hellwig bar. It comes in a grey/black wrinkle powdercoat finish. Yours shipped today BTW. I'm just waiting for them to send me tracking info. They are bad about that, so I'm trying to work a deal with them that will allow us to stock more inventory here.

My truck had the factory rear swaybar, and it feels much more stable now with the new Hellwig rear bar. Now, I did install the new swaybar with the 2" rear coils, but I am very happy with the combination of the 2. The new swaybar also has 3 settings to increase firmness.

The new cover holds an extra 2 quarts of fluid which reduces oil temps. It also has cooling fins that help in keeping the oil cool as well.

Another nice thing is that it has a drain plug on the bottom which makes it very clean and very simple to change fluid.

...AND it looks good...haha.

Got a few more goodies in the mail today. First is a paintable grille shell. This is the start of my Sport front end conversion. I am trading my front bumper with a local friend next week for his front sport bumper, and then they are off for paint.



And I also received my ATI 15% underdrive pulley. Just need to figure out what length belt I need now for the shorter pulley so that I can throw this one on.

Are you getting rid of the chrome back bumper as well? Going with a roll pan maybe?

While I love the look of a roll pan, I plan to keep the stock bumper. I will most likely just get mine painted. Hopefully I can find a paintable rear bumper to work with instead, but I'm having trouble finding one in good shape that has the exhaust cutouts and is pre drilled for the parking sensors.
