You can do 3,000,000 extraordinary things and one bad, people remember the bad...... not forgotten isn't necessarily a good thing
Good luck with the build Matt , looks like a nice truck. Maybe when it's done you can sell it to me!!!

Ps .... not sayin that "axel" did anything good or extraordinary!! Simply that people tend to remember the bad things.

So I want to trade mine in for a RCSB and suddenly I'm the *******. My wife is not fond of that idea. Something about "I don't want a Tahoe and how will we tow the camper". Damn.

The blue truck is about to get a very radical setup and will not be driven on the street much anymore. This silver one is going to be built as a fun, fast, reliable daily driver that I can race and enjoy this winter while the blue truck is under the knife.

You are always doing fun truck stuff... and God forbid you don't have a functional toy while the other one is under the knife! ;)

So no new RCSB in my future, but my wife did suggest I get my stepson a new vehicle and implant some power in his ride for a new toy. Sounds like a plan to me. Looks like it's time to do some surgery of my own... on a '95 Toyota RCSB 2WD! This should be fun. It's already below 2700 lbs

Well, I had a brain fart yesterday. Got everything torn down, new heads installed, new cam is in, bolted everything back up, started putting fluids back in the motor, and coolant is dripping out of the front of the passenger side head. I screwed up and put the head gaskets on the wrong side.

So now I get to pull the heads again and switch the gaskets around :emotions122:

I wouldn't have posted the pictures. Nick's comments mean squat in the grand scheme of things on your build HEMI. lol

Does anyone do any mods like these in a lifted truck? is there any benefit in doing them? Or should these mods just go on a RCSB?

1. Yes, they do them to lifted trucks.

2. Mostly done for more power.

3. RCSB's are not the only trucks that benefit from these mods.

Say hello to the new Moe's Performance project truck. It's a 2014 8sp with 3.92 gears. Tomorrow it gets torn down for a whole list of fun parts. Custom track intake, Moe's Performance 87mm throttle body, JBA longtube headers w/o cats, Modern Muscle ported heads, Modern Muscle ported intake manifold, A new Moe's Performance custom grind cam, ATI underdrive pulley, Billet Tech catch can, 180* thermostat, clutch fan delete, Belltech 2/4 lowering kit with Spohn adjustable panhard bar and Hellwig rear swaybar, Dodge SST 17x9 rear wheels with M&H 275/50/17 drag radials, and a Hemifever custom tune to bring it all together.

Could you please elaborate on the Custom track intake and MM intake? I went to thier website and only see a 6.1, is that what you are referring?

The intake manifold is just a stock 5.7 I take manifold that modern muscle ports. You can either send yours in to be ported, or they can ship one to you and then refund the core charge when you ship yours back.

Just checked their site & didn't see much info on the truck intake. What are the performance gains of this intake? What about when coupled with a ported TB?

I'm going to say none, until you increase the flow. You'll only benefit with heads and cam or FI.
