Wondering if anyone has run a set of these or has any information on them?

Looking for confirmation that they are a 1 5/8" primary header.

Just wanted to update this for anyone else who is searching for the correct LT headers for performance on a stock longblock or stock longblock + bolt-ons build and wants their truck to have improved low end torque #1, which also results in better fuel efficiency, towing ect. And as an added bonus, a few more HP up top as well.

The original MP LT headers, were in fact, 1 5/8" primary tubes. 14 gauge thick pipes, so slightly smaller ID than typical 1 5/8" 16 gauge LT's.

Just as important, they have 2 1/2" collectors. All of the Mopar exhaust pieces, from headers to 2 1/2" midpipes with high flow cats and Borla exhaust were designed to improve fuel efficiency, low end torque, towing, drivability ect.

Somehow this has gotten lost over the years. Fuel efficiency is a bad word of the forums when it comes to these truck for some reason and with that, there goes the baby with the bath water! lol

Companies have moved to bigger is better, and as long as it sells, who cares what the actual #'s are.

1 3/4 and 1 7/8 LT headers are the latest craze and so many are making this mistake and then regretting it. Wondering why their truck has no drivability, sucks gas, can't tow even like it did stock, then are told to slap 4:56 gears in and everything will be better.

Don't get me wrong, open up the longblock, cam, heads, porting ect ect and many of these pieces may fit the puzzle, but I'm talking about the average truck owners who want better tow/ efficiency/ fuel mileage.

Which is probably 90% of the owners out there.

So best advise I can give to anyone looking for what I have described here;

1 3/4" headers if you must (cheap, can't say no to deal) but 1 5/8 LT's will give the best performance while improving drivability and mpg.

2 1/2" midpipes Max! Want to kill your powerband and mpg quick, just bolt in 3" midpipes! lol

I am still considering 1 1/2" LT headers and have not completely ruled them out just yet.

Stay tuned.......
