Haven't seen the Mopar one. I would have to really think really hard to ever buy a Bakflip again though. I know they are popular, but Mine was a nightmare.

Granted, I had a first gen BakFlip purchased in 06. Those were the ones that had gas struts to hold the cover against the cab in the fully open position. Everything went wrong with it. Hinges separating from the panels, probably due to the gas struts pushing on them, Rivets pulling through the panels, rubber seals peeling off, latching mechanism problems, etc. All of it happened right at the end of the warranty.

And even with the drain tubes, it leaked water horribly. The company was aware of many problems with the hinge separation and when I called about a replacement. a month out of warranty, they said they were aware of it, but would only offer a 25% discount on a G2.

I no nothing is perfect, but those covers are friggin expensive and I expected more.

I have the Mopar Tri-Fold on mine. Its been on there since 05 and it is still in awesome shape. Just now starting so show some cords where the back fold is. I would reccomed it.

Keep in mind my girl is a garage queen so it dosen't get daily pounding sun. Also I have only washed it with RO/DI water and a microfiber. No soaps no spray tonneau crap. IMO lasting 7 years now is a long time for a cover.

I had a mopar tri-fold on my 08 until about 2 months ago. I didn't really like it from day one but it came with the truck when I bought it so I just thought i'd leave it on. The locks at either end gave me constant trouble, especially in the winter. I also didn't like that even when it was folded up all the way to the back window there was still about 16" of cover that could not fold back anymore. I usually put my snowmobile in the back of the truck when we go riding somewhere, so it would hang more then it already did, about 16" because of that cover.

I suppose if I didn't use the box for big things then the cover might have been okay. I'm much happier with the box liner I replaced the cover with though.
