All well established businesses have Terms with each other, 30 days or more. So they don't have to pay each other for orders until they sell the batch of products and get paid by their customers. Even if they don't have Terms, then they can always use credit card for the order.Your missing my point. What im saying is no one should have to pay to pre order...period. The ripoffshop gets them on credit. And if they dont, im sure they have a business credit card.
What we're seeing here is all bisienses charge for pre orders because they can and it's also a good practice to do this for their cash flow. It is possible that they have to commit to certain number of units from Morimoto and pay them upon delivery, or soon ... So they don't want to wait and hope that they'll sell all of these headlights on time to have money to pay moromoto. They also need to be sure that you're serious buyer and won't back out at the time when they finally get the headlights, so they won't be the one stuck with large inventory and having to pay moromoto for it all within 30 days.
It's a pretty standard practice to ask for payment ahead. Contractors ask for the first payment to buy materials and begin the work... A good business practice.
