Hey guys just about to bite the bullet and grab a 6" RC suspension lift for my 09 QC 4x4 hemi.

I have the stock 20s. Should I go for a 35" or a 37" tire? I was thinking of going for a TOYO open country A/T since I dont do much (if any) of roading and would prefer to save on fuel and not have to listen to loud tires.

So how bad would my gas mileage suffer with a A/T 35 or 37?

Any tire bigger or heavier than stock will suffer on mileage. The lift alone will make you lose 1 mpg or so due to the air resistance, it's more like a parachute.

Haha I say if you want gas mileage buy a Prius. But the bigger the tire, the worse your mpg will be. I can't see it being a terribly big difference depending on how you drive.

what size tire (width wise) are you looking to get? most likely you will need wheel spacers with your stock wheels

Yeah I was reading up on that. I need a 25mm spacer for a 12.5" tire correct? What size spacer for a 10.5" or will that look too skinny?

That toyo a/t is my favorite tire I've ever owned. I dont think you'll be disappointed performance or tire wear wise.

Here is something to consider when going with a larger tire. If you were to roll a stock tire and a 37 inch tire the 37 would roll further than the stock tire to make one revolution. Thus causing the speedometer to be off. Unless you correct this by changing the tire size in the computer the vehicle is registering less miles than you are actually driving which will make it look like you are getting worse mileage than you really are. Now Im not saying you are going to get better mileage with the bigger tires because it will hurt your mileage but probably just not as bad as it will look.

Yeah I love the toyo open country a/t my dad runs them on his 05 hemi and has bought 3 sets of them. He does a TONNE of driving. Getting over 70k miles to each set. His truck has around 500k miles now and still going strong. Gen 3s are solid vehicles!
