Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I was just wanting to know what mpg you guys are getting when you lift and put tires on your truck. Can you let me know how many inch lift you have and size of your tires.

I heard that on a gasser a lift and tires kills fuel mileage compared to a diesel so I'm just curious and want to know real world numbers! Thanks!

With 38s I average about 12 mpg which isn't too bad

Your mpg will decrease I have 5.5" of lift on 35s and I get 12-13 in town and 18 at max on the highway. If your concerned about MPGs then don't lift it.

well a lift and tires make the truck look sick so I definitely want to do it. I have a 99 1500 with the v8 magnum now and i get 10-11 city and 13-15 highway so I'm not too concerned I'm just curious of what i would get if I move up into a 4th gen 1500 with the hemi.

That's pretty good mileage for that much lift. Your truck is similar to what I'm aiming for. 2.8 bilsteins and 3" body lift.

I do have a tuner as well which helped me gain a one mpg or so which is nice. And you have the 4.7 as well so you'll see similar results I imagine.

I plan on getting an edge CTS probably before I even lift. So I can imagine I will. Any good power gains?

When I had my 35's on 18's I was able to eek out 18 on the highway going to and from work hand calculated. Recently went down to a 33" tire on a really wide wheel just to change to look up and I dropped to barely topping 16 on the highway. I really have no idea what I get city because I have my boat hooked up to the truck at least 1/2 the time when I'm off work and so my mix of city/towing is low 11's.

That makes sense the wider the tire more rolling resistance.

Tires are the same width, I'm blaming it on these 20/12 wheels weighing a lot more than 18/9's but I like it better do oh well. I was bored with the old setup, it had a lot of miles on it.

Did anybody notice a significant drop in MPGs with just a level? I would like to pick up the front end a little and get some stock size Nitto Terra Grapplers but I do enough highway travel that a few MPGs does make a difference.

The level isn't what kills it it's the tires if you go larger and aggressive. The level might have a small decrease.
