Muffler delete?

I have the 05 ram 1500 QC all stock.

Cats > resonator > muffler


Looking to make it loud enough that i can hear the exhaust from the cab. i am wanting to have the exhaust tip dump out right before the passenger rear wheel as well. The resonator come up to maybe 3inches before the tire, which isnt a lot of room, but im wondering if i cut the muffler and keep the massive resonator, would it sound awful?

My other thought was cut before the resonator, toss in a muffler, and then have it side dump

I have my muffler removed, straight pipe installed, lefr the resonator on near the end of pipe before the tip, sounds good to me! Cats still on and no cels

I replaced from the cat back with a flowmaster, new tail pipe and few feet of pipe. Sounds great and did it for less than 225.00
