Muffler Size

I am getting a new muffler for my Ram, don't want to spend the money to do a full CAT back system but was wondering what the inlet/outlet size was for the current muffler just to avoid having to have a shop modify parts to fit. I have looked online and seen a bunch of diff answers, I have a 2012 4.7 SLT

not sure about the 4.7 but the hemi's have a single 3 inch in and dual 2.5 inch out. good luck!

Thanks! 02 Ram helped me out and found out it is single in/out 2.5" if anyone ever needs to know.

The Mufflex kits are the same for both the 5.7L and 4.7L trucks.

So, I'm sure it's 3" in and 3" out on the newer 4.7L trucks and not 2.5" like the older 4.7L.

Mine was 3" in & 2.5" out.
