^ I would think it's kind of a thing where you'd have to feel it on your test drive. I have the buckets and centre console in my 2500 and I love it. Doesn't bother my driving style at all.

Not sure if it's any different in the 1500s?

I could feel minor interference when driving but that was all of 2 miles. What a salesman. I guess what is stuck in my head is the BMW I rented over the summer, it had a horribly uncomfortable console, very high and wide and drove me nuts while trying to relax or carve up the curves near Flagstaff. It is cheaper as well.

What is everyone's opinions on the bucket seats with console? I drove one and it didn't let me angle my gas leg to the right as much as I wanted. The guys on the 1500diesel forum all prefer the bench seat even in the Laramie for long drives etc. I am wavering back and forth on which to get. I like the console just wish it was much lower.

For me, I originally ordered my truck with the bench seating. But, the more I thought it, the less sense it made for my particular situation. It is only the wife and I in my truck about 33% of the time, while the other 66% being just me as the driver. We've had a few passengers here and there, but never had the need for more than the three seats in the back of the crew cab.

I'm 6'1" and 215 lbs and have not had an issue with console allowing me to relax my gas leg. Maybe it's the way I drive, but the console is a non issue for me, except the way it looks and it's functionality. I love the map pockets on the sides, the large bin in the middle, and the look of the Ram's head on the storage lid.

After a little deliberation, I contacted my salesperson about 2 weeks after I ordered my truck and ultimately got my order changed. It set my build time back a couple of weeks, but, in the end, it was completely worth it to me.

I don't think you can go wrong with either selection, as they both have their positives, and a few negatives. Good luck with your decision!

I'm 6'8" and prefer a center console, although I think Ram made it a bit wide and, I wouldn't mind it a couple inches narrower to free up some extra room to spread my legs out but its not a huge issue.

Thier are a lot of options on my truck that I've never had before. So far I'd say the backup camera, spray in bed liner, limited slip, and 8.4" screen are the options I could not live without.

I don't have the console in my 2500 and am glad that I don't. I drive with my right leg cocked to the side a lot and consoles press against my knee and it gets annoying. It's no nice having all that room now.

I'm not sure if it's the same in the 1500's but the armrest part of the bench is great, it holds 3 cups and has a very nice size storage in it. No way I would want that center console.

It's the same. Two storage areas above and below seat. Where are the USB ports and 12 volt jack if any? That spot on the floor in front of the bench is a good place for a cooler on a road trip. You know...for soda...

They're under the HVAC controls and I believe one inside the upper storage if you have the trim level for it.

Nice use of the RamBox! My Maxima that I've had for 7 years has the key in pocket thing, I love it and have to have it when I order this week. I just don't like push start buttons. Maxima has an actual knob you turn that locks if no key within range.

The Big Horn features I wanted

Protection Group $150 - HIGH (tow hooks and skid plates, I drive mountain roads)

3.92 rear axle ratio $50 - HIGH

Anti-spin Diff $325 - HIGH (be careful they offer the 3.21 with the anti-spin diff option, make sure it also lists the 3.92 if that's what you want.

Rear window defrost $150 - HIGH

Trailer brake control $230 - HIGH (mostly for resale value but I tow on occasion)

Comfort Group $350 - HIGH includes remote start, security alarm, heated seats and steering wheel. It cost me over $400 just to have the dealer install the remote start on my 2010 so this seems a bargain. Remote start is a must have for me on hot and cold days, the rest is gravy.

Rear camera park assist group $595 - HIGH the camera is quite useful as are the parking sensors.

Uconnect 8.4AN Navigation - HIGH I had to pay $695 for the dealer to install this as my 2014 Big Horn wasn't optioned with it. I think its a $500 option if the factory installs it. Nav has proven useful in the several years I have had it.

Polished Aluminum Wheels $175 - HIGH this is quite the deal if you are like me and the chrome clad wheels make you want to barf. These wheels are very nice and include OWL tires if that's your thing. I'm really happy mine had this from the factory, what do aftermarket wheels cost? A lot more than $175.

Premium Group 9 speakers and sub $300 - HIGH this was not even on my radar but my Big Horn came with this option and it sounds really nice.

Spray in bedliner $475 - I really wanted this option but my Big Horn didn't come with it. I was going to have the dealer install it for $525 then said the hell with it, I'll just install a BedRug like I had in my 2010. BedRug = Awesome!

Center Console - I had a bench seat on my 2010, the center console is far more useful. It has multiple spots to set/stow things and a cavernous storage compartment. With these big smart phones, head sets, reading glasses, smokes, I need room for my stuff.

Leather Seats - I like leather but I'm no longer willing to buy thousands of dollars worth of packaged options I don't want to get leather. Dumping leather from my list let me go with a Big Horn and avoid these. Moonroof, RAMBox, airbags, bah I don't need them and just those are almost $4k.

Didn't go with 3:92 but did order 3:21 LSD. Don't plan on towing except a small trailer sometimes with the quad on it. My is a 2015 Outdoorsman with pretty much same options. I went with the monotone Brite white. Also went with v6, 8spd, don't need the extra omph or the fuel consumption.

Power folding Mirrors-yes
U-connect 8.4-yes
Heated steering wheel and seats-yes
Bucket seats with centre console-yes
Power sliding rear window with defrost-yes
121 L gas tank-yes
Rear camera with front and rear park assist-yes
Remote start and security-yes
Overhead console with garage door opener-yes
Sprayed in bed liner from factory-yes
Wheel to wheel side steps-yes
Luxury group-yes
Fog lights-yes

Can't wait for it to be delivered either end of this week or early next week, will post pictures when I get it

I'll assume you get a lot of seat time in your truck. What is your opinion on the bucket seats and knee room on the right? I am considering the bench seat currently.

More than enough knee room for me. I don't have any issues with comfort or legs getting cramped. My reasons for the console where storage motivated.

QwikKota how tall are you? I'm 6'5" and the console makes me feel cramped and uncomfortable.

Only 6' but I am used to driving a low car so I bend my leg to the right. If the console had a deep bin or something I might consider it but it seems like the storage is all on top. I know it has side pockets but I don't know what would go in there that wouldn't just be cluttered papers. I think the bench will make it feel more spacious.

Thanks for your opinion also, BoldAdventure.
