I believe our Rams are picky when it comes to sensors, OE is always recommended.
I think they all are. The last two O2 sensor replacements on an F150 and Honda Accord failed with aftermarket sensors. The OEM versions fixed them.

i have no evidence at all - but I'll still bet its the cam/lifters. sounds exactly like my truck when those started to go.

I sure hope not. I don't have the lifter tick or any noise coming from the engine.
