My instrument panel is filled with these warnings: blind spot alert with trailer on, , check trailer connection, check trailer turn lamp, check trailer light out. And every time one of them pops up the damn thing makes its chime warning sounds. The chimes are driving me nuts.
The dealer says the new part will not start being delivered to dealers for 4 months and they will be getting only one part per day. He says they have over 100 trucks in stock that they have a do not sell order on due to the problem.
Does anyone know how to shut off these chime warning signs? A buddy of mine has the pro pad that dealers use to clear codes etc. He cannot find a setting in it however to shut off the sounds.

Has anyone with a 1500 RAM facing a lengthy wait for repair just told the dealer you want to trade it in on something else, a 2500 RAM or Grand Cherokee or something. I wonder how the dealer reacts - will they offer a full trade in value onn a virtually new vehicle that’s going to be laid up for a while?

Are they telling you it will be more than 100 days before your truck will be fixed under a recall? I would be contacting a lemon law attorney if I were in your situation. Check your state’s lemon law to see if this would qualify. Don’t let them jerk you around.

I just went with my truck, and they said the wait would be one month for the part. It is a module for towing and trailer braking with lighting. Hope they didn't bull crap me.

I had the same problem with my 2025 Ram Laramie. I had it into the dealer 3 times before the recall came out. They installed the recalled part, and it worked for a few weeks. I still get the same error code/light/chime, but only once/week with the new part. The new part from the recall doesn't even fix the problem! Frustrating as hell! I've also had the truck not recognize the key fob. I try to start it, and a code comes up on the instrument panel, something like 'no key fob detected' even though it is in the truck. I use the fob to lock, then unlock, wait 5 minutes and then the engine will start. The dealership's answer was to replace the key fob battery(not the problem). I called RAM corporate, and they said since the trailer light doesn't stay on, there is nothing they can do. Dealership says the same. This is my 4th RAM truck, and it will be my last. Very disappointed with RAM. Now I'm stuck with a $70K+ truck with alarms and warnings that RAM doesn't even know how to fix!

I just had this issue.
Blind spot monitoring out,
Emergency Braking,
Active lane assist.

My dealer replaced the GPS module. All seems right now.

I also had the trailer recall done. Part took less than two weeks and no dramas. I think it all depends on dealer.

For those of you anywhere near Jacksonville NC, I can thoroughly recommend National Dodge. Their foreman/ manager Carlos always treats me right. Maybe not always in time interval estimated but they do get it done.

I still love this truck, hope my issues are gone. All silly little things but once truck sent alert to Ram about blind spot monitor I got it fixed.

Only really WEIRD thing I have is my front motion activated camera keeps deselecting in Unconnect and therefore doesn’t sense.

This issue was intermittent for me and I thought it was just a matter of saving the settings to my remote. However, it became much more noticeable in December
when I started using remote start more frequently. My dealer could even duplicate it!

They ended up creating STAR case 102811433.

A few weeks later the problem was resolved. Of course there was no notification, but it has worked every time since January. My guess is that this
parameter was added to the settings that Uconnect saves on every shutdown. What the actual cause was remains a mystery....

Hey. Thanks for this. I asked before and it didn’t seem to happen to anyone else!!

I’ll try if it shuts off camera function with remote start….. I never have cause to use start it TBH as I live in NC.

Not something ( the camera) that I need to deal with now but next service if it persists I’ll quote you, if I may?

Imagine a 'Day and Age' where there are no computers assigned to a car/truck = you'd feel as if you were driving in heaven!
Daughter just bought a new Speed Queen washer/dryer. Very basic machines, minimal electronics, minimal plastic. Our 20+yr old Kenmore elite has more electronics. Speed Queen seem to be going in the opposite computerized direction as automakers.
