Picked this one up today, trading in my 2007 MegaCab on a 2014 Ram 2500 Big Horn with the Black Appearance package and the 6.4L HEMI.

Here's a pic of the two trucks together:

More pics and impressions later. Right now I need to spend 3 or 4 hours in the cab learning how everything works! :roflsquared:

I love the all black package and how they moved it over to the 2500 series. When I bought my 1500 that's the only reason I didn't get the 2500 cause I wanted a black out without taking it to a shop! Congrats man! Those things are beast!

Nice move..... great looking truck. I have a dark gray Outdoorsman and went for that trim because of all the body colored materials. Maybe not quite as much as your but close. I'm not a big fan of chrome. My last truck was black and all I can say is..... I hope you live near a carwash. With the black nothing looks better when it's clean but those moments fade quickly :)

As for the learning curve.... good luck with that. I've had mine for just over a year and still find things that I never new about. It's like a taking a college course.

Thanks, guys.

We ran into a problem when the dealer tried to swap over the KMC XD Addict wheels to the CC. Apparently the wheel lug thread pattern on the 2014 is different than the 2007 so the wheel lock lugs won't go on the new truck. They were looking for a new set that would work but ran out of time.

I have a 2014 SCSB with a 5.7L they loaned me for now until they get the right lug nuts.

woohoooooo...

Lugs and wheel lock issue all sorted. Dealer called me at 7:30 my time here in the PNW and told me the truck was ready to go.

It looks a lot better with the XD Addict wheels (18 x 9, 12 offset) and Toyo AT (285/75Rx18) than those ugly black painted 20's and Transforce tires.

More stuff tomorrow, as in more pics. Plus I have a lot of RTFM to do tomorrow as well.

Id like to see a full side view of the truck as well as a close up of your wheel tire combo, please.

Exhaust

I got the Magnaflow SI/SO muffler installed today and the resonator came off.

We could not do a SI/DO setup as there is no room at all to run a pipe to the driver's side and up and over the axle tube on that side due to the self leveling rear airbag and plumbing.

So the SI/SO went in with a single pipe running along the passenger side. We re-used the stock pipe that goes up and over the axle tube on that side.

Initial impressions are it sounds pretty darn good! It's barely there in the background when cruising, there's a small amount of drone at around 1750 - 1850 RPM in MDS mode (around 60MPH on cruise) but since MDS is going away, I'm not too concerned.

When accelerating you can definitely tell it ain't no diesel. :D

For all you 6.4L owners with stock exhaust, here's your flapper valve:

Also got the tint done this week. Got the front sides matched to the rears, blacked out the rear, got an almost clear polarizing film added to the inside of the windshield and added a sun shade banner there too:

More mods went on the truck this past week and today in addition to the exhaust.

Some Weathertech mud guards ... I'm gonna need flares when I put on the 35x11.50's for sure:

Lookin sharp! Glad to see some other PNW folks on the forum :superhack: <---Timber Joey :)

What kind of liner did you use? Did you do it yourself or have a shop spray it in for you?

The level kit worked out just fine. I was a bit worried at first...

Yup, there's a few of us here and there.

I had the liner hot sprayed at a local shop that's done two other trucks for me. It's Armacoat.

Got the truck box in today:

Since the box covers the tie downs at the front, I just added some chain and HD caribiner clips.

Got all my gear loaded up, put the cones in the bed and I'm good to go:

My old receiver bar is too small for the Class IV hitch on the 2500 so I went shopping and found this:
