My stock 4" chrome tips were looking a bit 'weathered' after 10 years, so I decided to upgrade to 5" tips.
Got a pair of SS 5" tips from LCGP Performance Exhaust on Amazon for $60, but they're 3" inlet.
2 year warranty, welded on nut/bolt for self-clamping.
Since I couldn't find a 2 1/4" ID to 3" OD adapter, I did a stepped system to get there.

OAL of my 'setup' is 16.5", and after measuring I realized I could just cut my old tips right past the connection point to the resonators and retain the hangars.
Didn't expect such a big difference from 4" to 5", but I like it!

Here's a comparison after getting the left one done.

All done, they fill the cutouts perfectly, and the exhaust note is definitely lower & louder.
My Flowmaster 50 sounds beastly now! :evillol:

I'm trying to do the same thing, was thinking of just going to a muffler shop and having them make 2 4" fluted 2.5" pipes for me. Then I can buy a 2'5" < 5" chrome tip. Tell me if that won't work before I waste $$$.

Our tailpipes are 2 1/4" not 2 1/2" which is why I needed 2 adapters. They make tips that utilize the existing 'bell' connection of the factory tips but mine were so rusted that wasn't an option for me.

I had my local muffler place weld in some custom bent pipe to offset the 1.5" body lift. I will have to have that addressed if I ever take the body lift off.

Anyone try the summit 4.5 inch? Look good for 28 bucks a tip. It's 2.5 inch inlet, I'm guessing I could chop the old tip off and use my harbor freight fluz to make it work?
