Me 3! I was actually surprised how light mine was. It feels like nearly half the weight of my old 04' Dakota I used to have. My only problem is I am 6'2" tall & I still have trouble getting my ol' ass up in there. Looking at some step hitch options. Mods, Mods, Mods, how many will my checking account allow!?!

The Amp Bed Step is one of my favorite mods. Was fun jumping up onto the tailgate when I was young, but at 47 I'm over it.

Yeah several people have seen it on the website but they are not putting them on. I thought well maybe this is a mid-year thing & it will be on mine but it's not & mine was just built at the beginning of the month.

It's just a strut that slows the descent of the tailgate. Similar to the strut in screen/storm doors.

Interesting. Mine just got built and is now awaiting shipping. I didn't see it listed on the build sheet or the Window Sticker.

Seriously, should be standard equipment, on every truck.
Buddy';s 2013 chevy had it ,new.

Don't why Ram does not install the thing, as standard.
Keep the Sat radio adn give me DZ Tailgate assist.

all about saem price $30 or so.

SOme guy take off their rear tial light assembly and use lock washers and nuts, with locktite, instead of teh nutzert thingy.

WHich I knew about, b4 hand I hite nutzert crap.

Even head of guys taking that axccess panel off the tailgate to get nut and lock washer on.

GO fetch one, you will love it.

They're awesome and I've had no issues for about 2 months now. I did notice the expanding nut was getting somewhat loose. What I did was wrap gorilla tape around it and bam no longer any issues period. Noticed some rubbing where the limiter was removed. Same thing placed some gorilla tape underneath the nut to rub on instead of paint. I also invested in some Mopar touch up with clear coat. It's awesome! Trust me I'm not a mechanical guy so if I can do it you can do it.
