My first Ram Truck

I have always been a Ford guy. I just traded in my 2006 Ford F-350 King Ranch Crew Cab Diesel 4x4 for a 2011 Ram 1500 Big Horn Edition. I went to the dealership looking for a used 4x4 and ended up getting a 4x2. I could have bought a plain jane SLT 4x4 or a loaded 4x2 Big Horn and took the 4x2 Big Horn. The Bighorn had many more nice features and was a nicer truck. I hunt and live in Ohio where it snows but I will just add some weight in the back and put mud/snow tires on it in the winter. I must say that this Ram blows Fords away and I love this truck. It has the 5.7L Hemi and the 4x4 SLT had the 4.7L. There is a big difference to me in the power of the two engines. Bottom line is I just wanted to say I am glad to now be a part of the Dodge forum and how impressed I am with my new used truck. It only has 9,000 miles on it.

I want to add some after market things but not sure what yet. I do have a question. I have the large touch screen radio, do this mean I have navigation and if not can I just buy a disc and have it?

The 4th gens come with different diplays. Can't remember all the radio codes, but I believe the 430's have Nav while the others do not. It's not something you can just pop a cd in a have, it's programed into the radio.

What kind of radio do you have? Should have a code in the lower left or right hand corner.

EDIT: Ok some 430N models and all 730N have navigation, the 430 and others do not. (Models REP, RER, REU, REW, REX only have NAV)

Thanks for the info! The wife stole the truck to go to work today but I will check the codes and let you know. I have never been this happy with a truck before and love it! The Hemi is fun to drive for sure.
