Finally got around to painting my homemade CAI and getting some pics up. it didnt turn out exactly the way i wanted because i wasnt paying attention and accidentally put the wrong pieces together:Stupid Me:. but it still works and looks better than that big stock intake.... also sounds good at WOT:005:

Hahaim just messin with you bud, I haven't had mine in 2 weeks and it's killing me!!!!!! And you should do something like I think it was blackout did with the thing going to the lower valence pulling in air from the front

Lol i know. And ive thought about it. The main reason i actually did this was to make more room and its easier to take off. I swear i took that old intake off like 50 times cuz it got in the way when i needed to fix something, and its a pain to take off

Yes, it does look good and I would [probably] pick it over the OEM for visual purposes.

However....

You have some serious warm/hot air induction there without somke type of "seal" over your filter once the hood is closed.

In terms of functionality, I'll pick the OEM every day.

Are you planing on building some type of shroud?

He's got a very good point there, maybe mock up the stock box to work?

Thanks! I might eventually but i have no problem with the way it is now. I originally planned for the filter to be moved over closer to where the stock airbox opening is but i messed up when cementing the pipes together so that didnt happen. Its still better over stock though, ive seen a tiny increase in mpg(probably because of the better filter) and it does seem to be a bit more responsive. But i agree if i were to make a shroud it would probably help a lot
