If there's not an external antenna protruding from it or a coaxial/shielded cable going to an antenna the radio waves used for geolocation as well as communicating outward to whoever is tracking it will have a hard time busting through that faraday cage. I just see a couple unshielded connectors with non-coaxial, non-UTP wires. Presumably two for power and two for whatever switch, sensor or indicator is being fed to the box. If it's aftermarket those won't be buried in a harness and can be traced to where they terminate and that might answer the initial question.
