Name the best lifts out there for a 1500 Ram Big Horn.

Off road and pavement use.

I plan on using mine for off road. Not serious off road, but a bit of desert driving and overlanding.
The AEV kit was the best when you consider that kind of stuff, because that is what they build their kits for.

The 4" BDS lift would be perfect since it gives me quite a bit of lift and clearance, but isn't too high.
Of course 4" lifts are not really that necessary for off road. Ford's Raptors only sit pretty much the same height as the stock models. It's just the suspension is built for longer travel and taking more punishment.
The same can be done with your truck using 2" ICON Stage 5 kit or maybe even Carli suspension with King Shocks.

You need to decide what kind of driving do you want to do and what size of a lift you really want on your truck.

Given that you're interested in the anthem equalizer wheel, Id guess you are going for something in the -24 through -44mm offset range? If so you will probably want to consider a 4" + lift to get the clearance you need for the offset on those wheels. $800 is not going to get you very far in terms of quality or improvement in ride for any lift kit unless you happen to find something like the eibach pro lift kit on sale- however that would most likely not get you high enough to clear your wheels without some extensive trimming. Closer to the $1500 range you can go with options like the zone lift which will raise the truck 4" front and 2/3 rear depending on what you choose and will provide at least stock quality ride and then you can upgrade the shocks down the road as funds become available.

Ok the budget friendly option is the readylift 4” kit the average price installed is $1500-$2,000 (it’s not for off-road use at all and a lot of shops don’t install it right) but it is an option that checks the box for the looks category. The best bang for the buck actual bracket lift would be the zone 6” lift with the 3” coil springs in the rear and the preload spacer in the front left out. This will net a 5” front and 3” rear lift our trucks respond extremely well to that configuration and you can easily run a wheel with a little poke. Average installed price is going to be $2600-$3000 for that kit. If you are planning on continuing your build upgrading over time the zone lift is the way to go as it leaves a lot of doors open. That is also the reason for skipping the 4” and going straight to the 6”. It’s to keep the. Options open for when you want to go higher (which you will)

When I say off road I mean gravel roads and dirt road lanes that leads to hunting spots. I’m not referring to extreme off road of rock climbing or places you see The Fast Lane crew do.

This is the kit that @Quick_Shifter is talking about with some additional parts on stock sized tires. He installed it too. Truck looks great IMHO and drives like a dream.

It’s a little higher than your budget but well worth it the truck drives better now than it did when it was factory. A week after I had to (I drove from New York to Texas and back in the truck road and handled like a dream. If you don’t have an hour ride suspension I believe you can pick up a 4 inch BDS lift kit for about $2000. I am also running 35 inch KO2s

To be honest I think it’s called Granite Crystal Metallic or Maxium Steel Metallic. Either way I want to black everything out.

I've had a Rough Country Lift on three vehicles I've owned with each truck running 35" Toyo's. The ride is smooth and the lift kit is not that expensive.

There is no way the suspension rides any better. Its still the same suspension. However, the tires probably do make it ride a little more soft.

Why isn't it possible the truck rides better ... with the Maxtrac 7" inch lift kit I have on my truck, it rides better than when it was stock .....

Because it is still riding on the factory air suspension/shocks. Nothing changed in that aspect. If you completely change out your suspension, like you did, well yea it can certainly ride different (for the better or even worse).
