To say I'm displeased with Bak Flip is an understatement. Horrible customer service. I will not deal or buy another one of their products after owning 4 lids over the years. This fifth one was a dud. It's over.
I'm thinking of a roll up or a tonneau that I can get for under $750 USD.
I'm all ears to your recommendations.
For Ram 1500 Sport, 5'7" box.

Thanks

Truxedo. Many options. Had a Deuce on my old truck which is great if you want access to the front of the bed. Lo Pro is the same unit only no front access. Truxport that I have now is same but isn’t low profile.

All have Velcro on side so you can adjust side tension with bows built in and have a spring closing mechanism so you don’t have to worry about cold weather and closing being an issue.

To me a roll up is best. Easy to remove if you get a surprise haul and easy to put back. I’ve had tri folds and hated them and never cared for the BackFlip blocking the rear window.

Weathertech has essentially a Lomax (thin alloy trifold). I think it’s around 800-850. I can use cuz I have ram boxes. But I like the sleek low profile.

I have the Tyger T2 rollup. Paid $200 on amazon. Looks great, nice flush and sleek. At $200 I can afford to replace it every 3 years if it gets messed up.

Not sure by rollup if you are focusing on a soft tonneau or a hard cover tonneau, but, if you are good with a soft tonneau, there are a handful of great options for less than $200.

If you are looking for the added security of a hard surface tonneau, whether it be a rollup or a fold up, consider these.

I had a Retrax on my long bed 1-ton dually - loved it! Search around online, I think I paid under $900.00 delivered for that longbed version.

In the hard sided fold up cover - I had an Extang tri fold on my last truck - super cover that can be had for $300-$400 online if you are patient and shop around on craigslist or eBay. This style has many like it out there - they sit on top of the bed rails, and have about a 2 inch profile, but they offer added security, and for the price point are good covers that can be removed or re installed in minutes.

If I were looking for the tri-fold style I would strongly consider the Lomax - around $900, super low profile, and just plain sharp looking cover. Someone above mentioned a weather tech type cover for a bit less money - tat would be worth looking into as well.
