Hello everybody,

I've owned a 2003 Dodge 1500 quad cab for two years now, my first truck ever bought and paid for by myself. I really would like to lift it and put some new tires on it. Also I am putting fender flares on the wheel wells. I just wanted to know more info about what kind of lift kit should I get for my truck? I'm new to all this and at college so I can not go to my mechanic right now. Just looking for some answers thanks guys

I am willing to spend some money but over 4,000 is pushing it for sure.

Welcome. Some more info is in need here. Mainly, is it a 4X4? What are you looking to acheive? What size tires do you plan on running?

Several companies offer some good and inexpensive lift kits. Check out these guys: Suspension Lift Kits & Leveling Kits | SuspensionConnection.com - Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota & Jeep

They have some nice kit and I have used them. Easy to install, good instructions and no running around looking for specific nuts and bolts. Rancho also offers some good lift kits and again they are quite easy to install.
Just remember when working under any vehicle support it with jack stands and do not rely upon the jack alone.

With a 4k budget go bds and dont look back no other lift comes close to the quality or warranty they offer. Also being a fellow 03 guy trust me when i say DO NOT BUY RCX (rough country), they put our cvs at to severe of an angle. A bds lift fully equipped (dual steering stabilizers, add a leaf, and the works) will run ya about 2800 through andrew at bullys performance. Trust me man go bds. Another plus about the bds lift is they actual move our tbars up and out of the way and in doing so we can better clearance.

Bds man, trust me best on the market for our trucks. Im getting one soon as i get back from this deployment. But if you do some youtube searches of bds lifted rams, they by no means treat them like a princess. And if yoh break something (god forbid) and will replace it no questions asked.
