Did it throw any codes? OBD? And when you say it's stuck in nuetral, does the knob still turn? But nothing happens? And was it in 2WD when it put itself in N? Mine has done that before and it took me shutting it off and putting the lever in nuetral to get it to change range, but mine was stuck in 4LO after believe it or not, pulling logs out of a brush pile in the woods to make firewood. Maybe we own a couple of citified trucks? Or they're just lazy asses and don't like to work...

Serv 4wd was the only light that came on, i cut the truck off and it went off. The knob still turns but it doesnt sound like anything is happening to change from 2wd to 4wd. Mine will not move on its on at all. When i try to put it in gear it just rolls. D and reverse, that is why i say it is stuck in reverse. That little red N light came on and it has not been right since.

That little red N light means the transfer case is in Neutral. For some reason it's stuck in Neutral. Not the transmission, but the transfer case. When you turn the knob it should come out of neutral. Neutral is for when you have to tow the truck. I'm stumped.
