Hi guys,
I`m kinda a newbie to audio system.
I just bought the RF T165 for the rear door and the T265-S (component). I just wanna go all Rockford btw. However, when I received the T265-S, they were concealed damaged, so I had to returned them, and unfortunately they don`t have it in stock anymore. And from that brainstorming started...

I`ve read some guys saying that component system is not worth it. All I want is a wide range of frequencies and really clean, not anything crazy loud. Should I just get the T165 for the front too? And also should I get an amp to boost the doors system (like a P500-4) ? Does the amp need to be 4 channels ?

I also wanna put a Sub (or 2, dont know yet). Thinking about the P3S2 10" under the back seat (I have a Quad Cab), with a pre-maid box (that only have .50 cu ft of airspace :/ ). And put a P-400 1 amp on the other side, still under the seat.
However, I`m afraid the bass will not be balanced in the car. Am I completely off ?

I keep changing my mind; just cant decide.
So, really need some experts perspectives on my case.

Thank you

P.S: I`m not really an expert either on DIY stuffs. However I wanna learn and do it myself. But please let me know if some of the actions required to install everything need some more knowledge.

Keep the components, your going to have much better sound from components then coax anyday.

Sub, add one sub, it may have to be a shallow mount, which is fine, you just need low end, nothing too drastic.

Thank you.
Then I`ll stick with the component.
For the sub, that`s what I thought. The P3S is the shallow mounted P3.
But by just putting one, it has to be either on passenger or driver`s side. And I`m afraid one side is going to get more bass than the other. No?

no placement of the sub doesn't matter. You won't be able to distinguish the difference if it is in the drivers side or passenger side in most cases.

bass is non-directional, I have my powered 8" right under my seat, but fills the cab nicely :)

Thank you again guys, that helps.
So I`m just gonna go with one sub then (1 P3 shallow mounted).

Now, lets talk about the amp(s). Can I get only one 4 channel amp for doors + sub ? Or maybe door speakers don`t need to be boosted ?

I really don`t know... I just read that 5 channels amp with everything wired to it usually go wrong.

Also, do you have any suggestions for a box ? Is something like that any good? (Only .5 cu ft airspace tho) :

the box is fine, and there is NOTHING wrong with 5 channel amps, IMHO actually better for simple systems, less RCA, power wire, remotes, etc...do components up front, can do coax in rear door, one sub, and a 5 channel amp.
Boom, done.
