Need some help here folks

Well a little while ago I got a flat, took the spare down from underneath the bed then cranked the cable back up (STUPIDLY)

Anyways since ive got it fixed i cant get the damn thing back down! I go to loosen it seems like its about to lower and i feel it almost skip and it doesnt move. Ive attached weight to it yanked and cranked the thing and nothin.

Any advice?

Sounds like its stripped out. Probably have to replace the whole thing...

Thats what im thinking too, and im sick of my damn spare in my bed haha
