Hello there, my husband and I own a 2025 ram Laramie. Bought it in September 2025 and we've had it back in the shop nine times so far for various electronics issues. The latest makes it feel as if we have a ghost in our vehicle. My husband walks by the vehicle with his phone in his pocket, and the key fob no less and nothing happens. Yet when I walk by the truck with my phone only (key fob far away), the running boards pop out, and it makes a sound as if it's going to unlock.

I have deleted the app. I have deleted the Jeep app just in the event that was part of it, but it still does it. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give

I dont have this feature but a google search shows there are some settings on the head unit in the truck...search for "on approach" in setting menu.....
I would also try deleting the phone from the trucks memory its possible it can still see your phone even tho you deleted the app from your phone especially if you leave bluetooth enabled on your phone

Well, my daughter came up to where we are camping and her hubby helped us figure it out. I still had the digital key in my wallet, even though I had deleted all the apps. Removed the digital key and it stopped. Thank you for your response!

Welcome. Nine times in for service in less than a year is a bit of a record, given the cost of a vehicle, not to mention the emotional toll. You may want to read up on your state's lemon laws and consider your options. Good luck.

I have a 2025 1500 Laramie and also have had some electronics issues. I've taken it in each time and they just do a software update and then it seems OK for a while until the next electronics issue occurs and another update resolves. As an old software developer (we used to be called computer programmers) I think that the software operating system is VERY complex such that each time they provide an update to fix one item they break another. I saw this many times on computer systems and it is usually due to inadequate testing of the software update. Gotta just hope they get it right at some point. My thought is that once I see it stabilize I will disable auto-updating.

Hi from Canada.
As a old guy still driving a 2014, When you say digital Key, is that like a credit card type of thing?
Dealer wants me to look at new trucks, but don't need one and they seem to want money as well.
I see people start their new cars with a phone these days.
