Need some help!! Holes for step bars are momicked!! picture included

Well bad news guys and gals...I went to look underneath my truck and see if the wheel to wheel dodge running boards would work on my crew cab. These were for a quad cab and I kept them. I'm not sure if the back bracket can be relocated in order to fit the quad...either way at this point it doesnt matter for OEM or Aftermarket.

I bought this truck used and it appears whoever had it before me hit something with the running board. The holes/threads are gashed open and terrible. Can this be fixed???? More importantly cheaply??? Oh and if anyone is interested have some QC wheel to wheel dodge boards for 300 plus shipping. Cost 700 new.

That's a common problem with the Ram. The monuting holes tear through because their hexagon shape creates stress points at the corners on the thin sheet metal. Somebody posted a fix for this a while back.

And momicked?? What the hell is momicked?

I called AMP, got those and had them welded on for 150. Holding up great and SOLID now!

Yeah just weld them no big deal. Around here shops that specialize in mufflers give the best price on welding. It should be 100 or even a little less.
