Yeah thats what I ended up doing. But it didnt smoke at all. I let it sit for 5 minutes after I put the seafoam in. Started it up and no smoke, drove it real quick around the neighborhood and still no smoke. Do you know why that would be?

it has to do with how dirty your engine is, I went 70,000 without ever cleaning it unless I used fuel addative... my truck smoked up instantly and I was able to seafoam it and have all the smoke out of it in a matter of 20 minutes. every engine take seafoam differently, no matter if it is the same make, model, engine, mods, and mileage... they all react differently.

after a good 30-60 minutes, rev the crap out of it. should smoke. i also ran a tad of tranny fluid on another occasion. tranny fluid has detergents in it so it cleans it out too but it is bad for the CAT

yeah, i gunked up either the o2 sensor or the cat on my dads 97 sunfire... the engine was so dirty all the smoke deposited on the cat honey comb and i now either need a new cat, or an o2 sensor
