I have the 2 subs pictured below, one is a 12" Alpine Type S, and the other is a Calrion shallow mount 10". A buddy and I custom molded a box for under the back seat, planning on using the 10" the whole time, but now the 12" will fit. What would you do? The box is sealed, not ported.

do you have enough air space for the 12?

I totally agree. I have a 10" Type S right now and once I gave it enough room, it really sounded a lot better. That subwoofer will sound best in a sealed box with a gross internal volume of 1.25 cu. ft. and when you add the sub, net will be 1.17 cu. ft.

If your box is ported, 1.55 cu. ft. gross internal volume is recommended.

I'm going to go with the 10" Clarion SFW1051. Think it will sound good?

yes, as long as it has the space. and if it doesn't it won't hurt to try since you already have everything
