Hi,
I am new to this forum and looking for some advice. I currently have a 2016 Ram 1500 sport, but just waiting on my 2018 2500 Mega Cab to arrive.
I have never lifted a truck before. I am wanting to go with a 4" lift and either go with 35's or 37's(if they will fit). I think I have decided on the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's for tires I think.
A couple of questions....

- Will 37's fit with a 4" lift kit?
- What is the best lift kit to go with? Would like the smoothest and best ride possible.
- 99% of my driving will be on the highway

Thanks in advance!
Matt

I'm missing 2 cylinders
I would advise 37’s as I think they look better on a 2500 with a 4”. Also BDS and Zone make really good high quality lifts

Couple of points to think about. Yes 37's will fit with a 4", could have to do a little trimming if you go with a crazy wide offset though.
What I would be more concerned about is the gear ratio running 37's. While it will no doubt run them you are really stretching out that gear ratio. It's going to be lugging around and not be very peppy.
If you have never driven a lifted truck just keep in mind it can be a lot different to drive then a stock 1/2 ton and parts are going to wear quicker (you are putting more stress on components)
And lastly I would not run Duratracs on a 3/4 truck. Lots of reports of premature wear and mushy ride with them.

Do you want lift or wheel travel?
Thuren and Carli are excellent “lifts” that give you more wheel travel. You can run 37”s with just a lvl kit. Also if you are getting a diesel the 37”s won’t really slow it down, if you are getting a gas motor it will be a little more sluggish. And don’t waste your money on the Duratrac s, Nitto/TOYO or coopers are a good choice imo. Duratrac s are a good tire but they do wear quick. It all comes down to prefrance, and how you will utilize the truck, for most people the standard zone or bds kit is perfect, but for those that do lots of off-roading that want that added wheel travel they go with Carli or thuren. Check out cjc. Automotive they do a lot of 3/4 ton long travel kits. I would suggest poking around on bds web site, Carli web site and thuren web site. There is a lot of good info on thuren a website regarding 3/4 ton dodges. Including what size wheels and off sets and what brands work greats for tires.
