I leveled my 97 Ram 1500 Sport (2" level) Stock tires are 265/75R16 . Will I be able to go up to a 285/75R16 without any "Rub"? I have updated most suspension parts and bushings to get her ready for the bigger tires but was surprised that the garage owner where I will be having the tires mounted (and alignment) said he can't guarantee they won't rub and that once they are mounted "they're mine"!! I really don't want to have to deal with tires that "Rub". By the way my truck has 334,000 miles on odometer. Second engine (Mopar).

I ran 285/75R16 on my '01. They were Toyo Open Country AT's on a stock height 4X4. May have been a little rub at full lock but nothing major at all. You should be OK. Stock on my truck was 245/75R16.

My Dad ran 285s on his '98 Ram the entire time he owned it, on the tightest of turns they'd tickle the LCAs nothing to worry aboot.
