Previous owner had installed a (2.5" it measured) spacer lift and 35s. I was aware that the front camber was very aggressive due to very unequal wear on the tires (bald on the inside, probably 1/2 tread on the outside), but recently I was under the truck and noticed the control arm is actually contacting the tire and has worn a groove. Not too upset because I was in the market for new tires anyway due to the wear, but obviously I don't want to put new tires on while this problem exists. I'll admit I'm not very knowledgeable about suspension geometry, so wanted to get some opinions on how to correct the problem. Will getting the camber straighted out pull the tire away from the control arm, or will the control arm just move with the tire? At the moment I'm planning to replace the worn out strut/spacer combo with some proper 3" lift struts, as well as replace the bushings in the area, as most look pretty shot. Just wanted to make sure that throwing those on and getting an alignment would actually be the proper route to fix the problem, or if it's bigger than that.

Also, please ignore the rust, I'm working on it, lol.

Thanks yall!

If you going to 3 inch lift struts, you need upper control arms like Zone or jba to correct upper ball joint angle. After 2.1, you get into the serious coin to correct your suspension

Whatever wheels those are, they have too much backspacing/too much positive offset. Thats scary as hell! You cant let the tires rub on the upper a-arm!

I know this post is a little older, but to answer the original question. No, an alignment will not correct the rubbing issue.
