alot of reponse will be opinion to me sounds like a good start for cost, and with that there will be no need to upgrade alt or battery, i use pioneer head unit lots of options for the price, if your using kicker speakers might as well use there amps, just match the total rms wattage on speakers and amps, size of wiring depends on how many and how big of amp you plan to use one amp 4gauge 2 amps you could probably get away with 4 but i recomend 1/0gauge with a distribution block to two 4gauge

how much is an amp that can run the subs and how much is under the quadcab seat box?
i don't mind opinions because people on this site are very knowledgeable.

Depends on the amount of power you need to push. If it price your worried about. Crutchfield has a Kenwood bass package for $160 that includes two subs and the amp to push them.

you can run subs off stock head unit i kno walmart sells a little blue box that attaches to your door speaker wires to hook up the rca cables, there might be other ways but ive always used aftermarket

to hook your subs and amp up to the stock head unit you would need a Line Output Converter(LOC for short)....like Jhemi said it hooks up to your FRONT speaker wires and then basically gives you connections for rca cables that would then hook up to the amp.

what he said. When you get an aftermarket deck it comes with cra hook-up to run the signal to the amp. A line output converter can sound good, but over you get more function and better sound from a aftermarket deck.

Budget build:
Im partial to Pioneer Decks so, Pioneer deh-33hd
Kicker ds6.2 component sets (two sets)
Sound Ordinance m-4075
Amp wiring kit
4 and 2 channel Rcas for the amps
Kenwood Party Pack
And a box from Supercrewsounds.com

Without the box it will cost $699.93 from crutchfield. and they include some of the necessary items to do the install (i.e. harness', antenna adapter, and a ton of instructions). Keep in mind thats a budget build. My system will cost a lil over $1500 when Im done...

Also you have to realize thats Crutchfield. You CAN go elsewhere and find what I listed for cheaper. But the youd have to also purchase the free items that they throw in.

I personally will be going to the local flea market in Ft. Lauderdale. There is over 50 car audio vendors there that will compete with each others prices. I just start with one, and haggle my way down the like until I get what I want. All brand new stuff too! In my '02 I had 4 kicker comp 10's pushed by a Power Acoustik 2300w amp! And I only paid $250 for it all, lol!
