The orange is a beautiful color. The biggest turn off for me is the side hood badges. The only 5th gen I saw that I really liked and would consider buying was one that was the same color as my '19. The truck was granite crystal with the black out package. That was a sharp looking truck.
I had 2017 that I traded for a 2019, I absolutely love the hood badges, the sport hood looks badass!

That is a sharp looking truck. I love that blue but those 1500 hood badges kill it for me. I wasn't crazy about the 3rd gen either. I waited and went straight from the 2nd gen to a 4th gen. I can wait until the 6th gen comes out. My truck is a '19 Classic, it ain't going anywhere for a while.

Nice, I’m still a huge fan of the 4th gens and the classics, very sharp looking. Gonna be adding a lift in 2 days, stay tuned!

The sport hood badges aren't as bad, the hood badges on the non sport hoods are awful looking. Doesn't make me miss my 4th gens that I had (they were good for when I had them) but I surely do wish they would remove that or at least make it so we can remove them without leaving scars. Otherwise, for once, I actually don't mind the remaining badging and might leave them for the first time ever with a ram (my 4th). Would be nice to switch to a sport hood but not worth the effort in my case just to lose the awful badges on the non sport version.

Sure, if you like fake air vents. :imo:

:winner_first_h4h:1.) If your going to offer a sport hood the don't make it look like a 16yo went on a shopping spree at Auto-Zoom.
:winner_second_h4h:2.) If your going to call it a Sport Hood do some color matching. Even Ford colored match the fakes from the factory back in the day.
:winner_third_h4h:3.) If your going to charge a premium, at least make it functional.

My .02 cents.

I really like the HD trucks front end. They look awesome to me.

The half tons, the LED reflector headlights look the best on the half ton Rams in my opinion. The halogen headlights look blah...the projector setup doesn't look right to me on the half ton. I honestly think the projector style headlights could have been done different/bigger to balance it out like the LED reflectors do.

The sport hood looks the best out of the half ton hoods. Having the badge higher up on the hood looks right. Kinda wish they did that with the HD trucks vs. where they are sitting closer to the fender on the hood.

Totally agree, I have no love for the black molded plastic on a $40,000+ truck. Even the TRX, it's just covered in drab black. It just screams 90's era dodge neon:

:Boo:4.) If you're going to bash a truck using poor grammar.

I don't care for the black plastic on the Rebel or TRX either. I don't mind it on the hood or the Night Editions, it looks good, the grilles are painted black. Ram could even do that for the TRX and Rebel and make them look tons better.

It's just as bad on the hoods, IMHO. You have this brand new flashy truck with body colored/chrome bumpers, stunning paint, blingy interior, and then you see ...... drab black plastic pieces?? On the freaking hood??

I thought my white taillights were bad enough, I could never stomach plastic on my hood.

Hahaha you guys crack me up with your hatred of black plastic. I can't say I disagree with you about it not looking the best, but I guess I'm not as passionate about it as you guys are. Now hating on chrome, that's something I can dig my teeth into! :p

Yeah I don't get it either. I've always thought it was a little cheap to have so much plastic on the front of the expensive models, but people who buy those models like them so more power to 'em. The minimal amount on the sport hood looks good, especially when it's conditioned and cleaned with shine.

I get just as many compliments on my hood layout as I do on my truck. That's part of what sucked my into the Night Edition. I'll admit, I've never seen the sport hood on a truck with chrome bumpers.

Too bad the Ranger came out before the new Ram...
the redesign for the 2019 grill was already introduced in the 2016 limited minus the chrome they were prepping us for a grill change on that truck not exactly a copy but the shape change.

I think everyone else knows Ram would never look to a Ford Ranger for designer tips. Ram leads the way in sleek and luxurious.

Well as many of you may know, a lady wrecked into me. Her insurance gave me a Gen 5 Ram 1500 while my truck is in the shop.

IMG_0055.JPEG

IMG_0046.jpeg

Things I don't like:
Interior is bulgy... It's only got the 8.4" touch screen, but it looks funny. It's all bubbly and knobby.
The center console is nowhere near as handy as in my '17. The cup holders move forward and backwards and there is no good place for it. Either it's so far forward you can't access the handy phone holder, or it's so far back the cubby behind the cup holders gets blocked.
Key FOB. It's chunky and not for the better.
Tailgate. What's with the button to open the TG? That's un-necessary.
Rear bumper. Has a lot more plastic surrounding it than the previous Gen. Is it just me, or is every truck generation's bumpers becoming less and less metal?
Upper Console. Space for glasses, open/close rear window, and map lights. Looks large for what it offers.

Things I like
Interior lighting. It's a nice touch.
Factory LED headlights. WOW!
Processor. The Infotainment is LightSpeed faster than the one in my '17.
Switches. Tow-Haul and Traction control switches are very easy to slap and turn off. Lots of fun to drive with everything off.
No tow hooks on 4x4? In Laramie trim?
Way too much Chrome.
Ride. I'm not sure if this has air suspension or what, but MY GOD it's caddy smooth!
Auto tiling Mirrors in Reverse. I wasn't sure if I should do this to my '17 but now that I have it, I can't live without it!
Power. All factory equipment. Tires, gears, no lift. This thing Hauls a$$.
Front Grill. For how fast this truck it, the grill is not as aggressive looking as it should be. I want this thing to intimidate.
Shifter know is a huge improvement over the previous Gen 4. If feel heavy, and affirmative.

I also love the easy out feature where when I turn the truck off, the seat moves back. Sure, it only moves back half an inch, but I still like it.
