Wouldn't the 080 with the BDS 5" spacer and the 073 with a 1" spacer be the same ride height?
Yes. If you can find a 1” spacer I don’t see why it wouldn’t work but I don’t know if any 1” spacers.

So a 1 inch spacer on the top of the 073 would be ok, but not a 2 inch?

1” would match your existing setup? 2” would put you outside the current geometry? Not sure what part of that you don’t understand. it’s not the lift amount alone that dictates it’s a combination of things. When you add preload the coilover does not get longer. Allowing the droop to extend past the stock droop will destroy cv axles. I have seen first hand what happens to the cv axles when they are flexed past their designed capability.

I got you, thats the part I wasnt thinking about. I certainly trust your knowledge, just trying to see what my options are and if there's an option that doesn't involve sending back what I have. I'll look for a 1 inch spacer and if I can't find it'll, I'll send these back and get the 080.

I linked you a 1/2” spacer. That would get you to 7” easy. 2.5” preload plus 1/2” from the spacer.

That's for the coilovers you have, right? If I go with the 4 inch longer ones I have, 073, they're an inch shorter overall. Would that mean 073 could use a 1.5 inch spacer, or would the travel for those not work?

Any more than 1” would probably be too long. Like I was saying the current spacer is 5” so any more than that would be to much. I would honestly give it a try at 7” and see if you like it it’s in the middle of your 6 and 8” of lift. If you end up definitely wanting the 8” you can have someone make you a spacer from a 1/2” or 3/4” plate of steel or aluminum but you’ll need longer bolts to bolt in the coilover if you go that route.

Yeah the 883-06-073 are the same thing, just with the dsc included. I think I'm going to keep these ones and put them in. We'll see how it turns out.

Try ordering that spacer I linked you. Crank them up to 2.5” lift and use the 1/2” lift spacer up top. 7” lift. Best bet in my opinion. Remember the 1/2” lift spacer is really only 1/4” thick
