Hey folks, my name is Justin. I've been looking around for a 2nd gen ram to get. I've been looking at. 1999 with 200k and a new transmission for 1,100$. She's not clear if it's v6 or v8 but it's an extended cab, and I haven't seen any ext cab v6s around. Anyways, any information and direction would be helpful, thanks.

Welcome, I'm back and fourth from East Texas and Houston. There's lots of info here, as far as what motor is in it I would imagine that it's a V8. Couldn't say if it's the the 5.2 or 5.9, some 2nd Gen guys should chime in (like the 3rd commenter on this post) and give you some better info.

Might be a lot of miles, but the 5.2 is pretty reliable and for 900 bucks I don't think it would be that bad.
