Hello guys, so I had an '05 Titan for 11yrs and at 262k miles the tranny final started to act strange, so traded it for 2011 Ram 1500 CC 4x4 Larmine, it's a little high mileage (142k miles) and has been through a couple owner but seems pretty well taken care of. More importantly it was in the right price range.

I'm not completely new to Ram trucks. My dad has an '88 w150 and a '06 2500. But I've never run into what I have a question about, so onto the question, along with pics of the truck I have attached pics of the front and middle passanger side step attachment point to the body. I am not sure what/who exactly was using this step but this can't be normal. The driver side seems fine, but....

I do plan to eventally get rid of these step, but would like replace them with the Go Rhino RB10 or RB20. But I'm not sure what to do with its current situation, and what good fix might be till I can change them out.34ea898226bbdb7f72e3a3fb0138bb2c.jpgc7a1ccca40d737394bc64d288db64e9a.jpg15d77e1ba2793ace56e527d276672594.jpg4fc307942210a338c001cb2feb6637d9.jpg

I think ya might need to weld in some kind of reinforcement on the inside of the body. If welding is not an option then bolt in a plate in it.
I think that’s gonna be your best options
