New Guy- Needing Advice

Hello all ,

I am new this forum, so if this is the wrong section, feel free to move it.

I currently drive a 2.3L 1997 Ford Ranger. It's time for an upgrade and I'm thinking a Ram. I have found a 4X4 2006 Ram 1500 Mega Cab with 180,000 miles. It's a 5.7L V8. I want a truck I can do a lot too. I want a big truck. Something loud, but fast and also intimidating. The truck is currently Stock. There's nothing special on it. My question is, is this a good truck to customize? Already the truck is huge, but I'm thinking maybe a 4 inch lift? Throw on some mud tires and some Bushwacker fender flares. I do go mudding a lot and haul livestock. I haul the livestock with my grandpas 2010 F-350.

Any advice on the 06 Ram is greatly appreciated.

Picking a good truck is on you, but yes there are plenty of parts to customize that truck.. Since you haven't got it yet just find what you need figure out what you looking at getting into price wise for the build.. Then you might want to figure a handful of issues your going to have to spend $$ on as it has 180K on the odometer..

Get it checked out by a mechanic pre purchase..
