Do the Morimotos use the stock bulb (H11 if i recall) or did you have to use a different type?

The ones I have are an H1 but as I haven't done much with projectors I can't really tell the difference in the bulbs.

Your Answer

Where did you get them? Are the HID or did you do that?

Transformer Version 09 12 RAM Projector CCFL Halo LED Chrome Amber Headlights | eBay

Ebay projectors (knock off projectors) - beam patterns on those usually aren't as wonderful as true projectors. I have a set on my TB. I've been happy with them for the past three years. I retrofitted HID's into mine. Hell of an improvement over the factory lights.

But not true HID Projectors.

I might just go the ebay route myself. I had lasik and my night vision has improved, but I still need a better beam disbursement pattern than the factory lights.

True Projectors (retrofits) are a serious INVESTMENT in cash. I'm just debating if I want to invest that money in my headlights or not. Comes down to deciding how long I plan on owning the truck.

I'd consider the eBay ones a decent fix if you're looking for a good looking appearance mod within a good price range with an "satisfactory" beam pattern. But I wouldn't consider them an investment in my truck. If my thinking makes sense to you guys.

Personally, if I go the investment route I'm going with the Retroshop, I like his work.

Otherwise, I'll just funnel money to China via eBay.

Yeah would be better. No doubt about that, but I rather spend $600 on headers then some damn lights.

These projectors are damn bad ass for $130, plus the HIDs make them a lot better.

I understand its halogen projectors not meant for HIDs, but they will do.
