So do I need to remove the chrome clads on my 20” big horn wheels to install the black ones?

if you have the oem chrome clad wheels these will not work on your truck

Unless you remove the chrome then these will fit.. correct?

No even if you remove the OEM clads they wont work, the OEM clad wheels have slightly different specs

Are you sure? The ones I saw were exact 20” wheels just black

How are they different? You would know better than me just wondering

Im positive, the place i got mine from wven say do not use on oem clads, the gray and black oem 20s are just painted wheels, the clads are smaller so the chrome clad actually fits over, and the clad spokes are slightly larger than the skin fits over and without the clads the spokes will be too small

These " skins" are not ment to go over factory chrome clad wheels, also from what I understand, the factory chrome clads are very hard to remove.
My wheels were just the plane grey painted mopar wheels, I wanted 'chrome clads" so i oreded these. They are wheel specific, and will only fit the wheel they are designed for.

They came today. Really happy with them. Definitely don't need any tape. These are very secure.

I have the same ones, they came on the truck when I bought it. Do you have a picture of your rims before hand? Just curious what they look like without them.

Thanks!

I don't have any picture with the silver rims. I plasti-dipped my rims black the day I bought the truck. Then I peeled the plasti-dip off before I installed these. Here is one I found on google though

Thanks. I've seen those rims and wondered if that's what I had but didn't want to chance breaking it by removing it.

Hey, are they available in a 17" wheel??
I'm have had 0 luck finding a late model RAM 17" OEM wheels. Everyone out there is asking the same as a dealer for used wheels!
My Ram has 20" wheels and I'm not a fan of big wheels. I want to run BFG AT 33" tires when it is time for new tires but I prefer a 17" wheel to save on the price of the tire.

UPDATE ON THIS THREAD

A year ago I installed these wheel covers on my 2015 Ram. I washed them, and waxed them at the same time as my truck.
Long story short....... They got all pitted up, like 30 yr old chrome.. Needless to say ...... I wasn't to happy, they looked like s....t.
I called the company "Chrome Warehouse", in Michigan, and sent them pics.
After our conversation, they said they would send me a replacement set.
So now I have 4 new Imposter Wheel Skins. It pays to be civil, and negotiate.
As far as I am concerned it was nice to find a company that stands behind the products they sell.
I bought the covers thru Amazon, and Chrome warehouse.

An addition to this thread again.
If you read some of the reviews on these cover, some people complain about the covers flying off, or comeing loose. I don't see how that can happen. if you get them for the correct wheel style, and install them correctly they are not comeing off.
I had one hell of a time getting them off my wheels to send them back. they go on a lot easier than come off. The plastic will bend a lot, when pulling, and prying, but did not crack, or brake. So if you get a set put them on correctly, and you won't have any problems.

I see them in the 17 inch ones for under $60. I wouldn't suggest using wheel cleaner on these like a normal wheel. Been debating on getting black set for my 13 Ram, but kind of wanting a color to match lower portion of my outdoorsman.

Did you ever determine what the pitting was caused by? How often did you clean/wax the wheels? Evidently it was a product error and not a user problem?????

They were Washed every time I washed the truck. I think I waxed them 4 times. Last wax was in late November, getting ready for snow/salt season here.

Only thing I think caused the pitting, is the road salt here in Wisconsin. That with the chrome plating being on the thin side. We get one inch of snow, and 6 inches of salt LOL.
I have had other plastic plated plastics, and none of them pitted like these covers did.
My 91 Ramcharger (which I bought new) never saw the inside of a garage, and all the chrome never pitted. I still have My RC, with 268000 miles on it.
