Just put my new "Imposter wheels on my 2015. They are almost like the chromeclads on my 04. Debated getting black chrome or chrome, went with the chrome, cause i was warry of the black chrome, getting scratched. $ 85.01 shipped from Amazon. I like em, I missed my ole chromeclads.

When you say imposter is that the brand or do you mean replica wheels?

Yes that is the name brand of the covers. I bought them on Amazon, from "The Chrome Warehouse". Imposter wheel skins, is what my receipt says. I would post a link, but I am not that good on my PC.
Just google them and I am sure they will come up under Amazon.
Some places call them hupcaps.

I was thinking about grabbing a set of these in the gloss black. Can you see the color of the rim on the sides or anywhere when they are installed? Just don't want a bunch of silver showing on the edges with the black covers.

Here ya go, you can kinda see the silver of the rim up against the tire when looking for it, but 95% of the time it wont be noticed

I have the black skins on both my 2013 and on my wheels i took off my black 03, like i said its minimal but its there, its hard to get a pic of it, but in most pix you see the sun reflection off the edge and not the actual silver rim behind it

Yes... as Demon-HeMi... said its hard to see unless you go looking for it, not very noticable at all. most lookers wont see the rim under the skins. I'm thinking of getting a set in black chrome, just for giggles, and to change the look once in a while.

no its not needed in any way, I call them Semi Permanent because when you snap them on, they are ON THERE, yes they are removable but they are NOT just gona come off while your driving, while i wouldn't suggest it, i had a friend that had them mount his tires without taking the skins off

Awesome. Just placed my order. I've been using plasti-dip flat black with the glossifier on my rims since I got the truck. I've touched it up once and overall they look pretty good but getting my tires mounted ripped them a little, was going to just completely remove and re-do with plasti-dip until I saw this thread.

oh you wont be disappointed, i Love mine, had them on 2 trucks with no issues what so ever, the thing i like most is you can snap your OEM center caps into them and they look like factory, mine came with a smooth black cap in them so i just popped those out and put in the ones from my wheels

When I ordered mine on Amazon they had chrome, and black chrome on the same page. Same price also.

Mine had the black ones on it when I bought it. Until this thread I thought they were a factory accessory. I get compliments all the time on them. So they only cost about $85? Very much worth it in my opinion!

Just google 20 inch Ram wheel skins. I'm not good at copy and paste, on a computer.
