New Ram 1500 owner

Just bought a 03 Ram 1500 SLT with 5.7 hemi 98k miles......what should I be watching for? Has a roof leak by the back window but I'm assuming that it's the 3rd brake light seal. What should I do to it??? I'm think just the basic K&N drop in filter. Headers? exhaust? Any recommendations for step bars or bumpers? I want to replace the factory radio with something more current. Frame has been undercoated because I live in Vermont and salt brine kills frames. It even came with the original window sticker!

Welcome to the forum from Jefferson Wisconsin.This is my first ram truck since my last 86 power ram with a 318.There is a lot you can do to the hemi,it’s very responsive to a little F/I.Header prices are soaring unfortunately. Other members can speak more intelligently about your 03 hemi,Mine is a 19.Good Luck.

The 03' is the 1st model in the 3rd gen line of trucks so, it is very limited on the mods that can be done to it. For mods, like cam changes, you will need to replace the 03' PCM with a compatible PCM from a 05' model. You can find more information on this mod in the 3rd gen section of this forum.
