Just got these installed this week... wanted the E load rating, so went with the Nittos. Initial thoughts:

  • Way quieter than I expected.. can now hear the engine rev over tire noise on the freeway.. haha
  • Ride is comfy.. totally expected stiffer, but also haven’t gone max PSI yet (ever?) so maybe that’s why
  • I thought they’d look a bit more aggressive.. not bad by any means, but not as mean looking as my prior set
Will post some updates on performance once I get the trailer hooked on and back from 4th of a July trip.

So far so good!

Oh.. and I went to America’s Tire.. out the door for $1273 including install, disposal, etc. Not bad I think.

What were your previous tires? I'm running the G2 Terra grapplers and was considering the ridge grapplers for my next set. Mine currently have about 40k miles with easily another 10k left on them.

I went from G2's to Ridge Grapplers. I would never consider the G2's after owning Ridge.

That’s a great set up you got there. What’s the offset of your rims or what size spacer you running? You def appear to have the right amount with the bigger flares.

I’ve got 296/65/20 Ridge Grapplers on my truck. I had BFG KO2’s on it before. The KO2’s were much better in the snow. The Ridge Grapplers are a good tire and I’m happy with them. You do know tread on the sidewall is different on each side of the tire? One side has a little more aggressive look then the other.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

Rim's are Moto Metal 970's 20x10 -24mm offset.
Tires 37x12.5r20 incase it was missed.
Lift pushes front wheel track 1" wider on each side. 1" BORA spacers in the rear to match the front.

Doing the math to create the look without the front track width increase you'll need close to a -50mm offset which only seems to be offered in the 12" wide rims. Wide rims are tough offroad. Too much rim to make contact with the frame, body etc.

However if you're building a mall crawler it does lend itself to an excellent 12" wide rim stance also.

I worked a little magic and got discount tire down to 288 per tire. 1323 out the door. I'm pretty happy. I just did a direct replacement

I am SHOCKED! absolutely blown away! There is nothing in the bed of my truck.
38 psi in each tire. 0 miles on the Nittos. 4 winters, 2 summers on the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs, and they have been fantastic in my N. Idaho winters. I've been hauling my 21' camping trailer to and from a paid camping space every year. I need to drum up a tread gauge.

I tell everyone that is thinking of about tires that the Ridge Grapplers are an awesome tire ... 15k and they are wearing evenly ... no annoying noise and still run smooth ... just can't go wrong with the Ridge Grapplers

I will say that the old set I have that I bought for 60 rds of 223 ammo wound up cracking all over the tread pattern on the sides and the contact area. They got super noisy, but they look damn good! And I know they can be a quiet tire as well. This will be my first experience with them in which they will be rotated more than once lol
