The driver's side front Toyo AT (285/75x18) got chewed up a bit when this happened:
But it held air and seemed fine. When I bought the 2014 I had the wheels and tires swapped over from the MegaCab:
Well, yesterday that tire gave it up. It started leaking badly and I barely made it to Discount Tire. Since they didn't have a replacement or used 285 available, and since the AT's were gettin' a bit thin on tread, I just decided to replace them. Sorry for the dirty truck but it's been rainin' here for what seems like forever. Anyway, the boys at Discount Tire got to work:
After reading all the reviews here and on other independent sites I decided on going with the BFG All Terrain T/A KO2 tires in a 35x12.50R18. I also had them remove the simulated lugs/bead lock plastic crap lookin' nuts off the wheels:
No problems with the TPMS at all. The system recognized the sensors before I had traveled a 1/4 mile. I am, however, gonna need flares as these are a bit wider than the 285's. The Mrs. won't understand but then again, so what?
