I am working on a new audio set up and need some advice. I got a pioneer head unit and a RF P600x4 amp on it way. I also have kicker KS3.5 in the dash.
The site I bough my amp from suggested RF P165-s components for the front door. (I will put the tweeter in the sail panel). Are these any good or would you guys suggest something else.
Also since I don't have a sub I was going to put the 6x9 on the rear channels (for bass) and run the 3.5 off the deck. Yeah, neh. What do you guys think.

Speakers are a very personal choice. I would suggest taking a trip to your local audio shop or even best buy and give a listen and see what your ears like. I've owned RF's in the past, they're ok IMO, I always felt they had an issue creating lows but if you like highs, they are great for that.

I don't think your plan for dash and rears is bad. Since it's an aftermarket HU, you are at least getting a few more watts than stock. I would give it a try, play with your fade and levels and see if you can make it pleasing to yourself.

Fosgate is my brand of choice and I run the P165's in my front doors and love them, but if you are wanting any kind of bass you may want to consider adding a sub.
