So I'm going to need new tires soon and am trying to decide about installing a lower profile tire on my stock chrome clads, like a 285/50r20. Or going to a 22 rt or srt. I've seen a lot of picks of trucks with the 22s but having a hard time finding pics of 4g Rams with 2/4 drop and 285. Any guys got any pics? I love how the 22's look but the performance benefit of the 285 is really appealing. Any opinions?

Are you looking for pictures from behind the truck showing the width of the tire? You can run more than a 285 if you want. There's plenty of guys running 305's with a 2/4 drop.

Or are you referring to sidewall height, trying to determine how much its going to fill the wheel well once you lower it?

I guess both. I would like to get the widest shortest tire tire without looking too funny or hitting. I think the 305/50 would be too tall still. Maybe a 305/45 but I haven't seen to many options in that size.

Any pics with a 305/50r20. I've only seen pics with a off-road style tire.

Guys with the 22" wheels and 2/4 drop that are running the 305's, are you running 40 or 45 series? I have the stock RT 285's now and want to go to a 305, but I am worried that the 45 series will rub in the front.

Thanks,

David

2/4 mcgaughys, 305/50/20, only rubs at extreme full lock.

It would have to be in the front, I don't think he has four wheel steering. :)

you would be correct. haha. its the mildest rub and only at full lock, like paralell parking downtown and immediately regretting driving my big ass truck instead of the wifes forester. Every day drivng i never have any rub at all.

It will barely hit the sway bar, which is in front of the axle, at full lock. And you are not at a loss, I just told you a 305 50 was the max. Haha
