New to Dodge - 4Gen question

Since I don't know much about the current Rams and it looks like the 4Gen 09+ seem to have quite a bit of variance in the mechanics and features among them, I was wondering what is a good place to educate myself on what's on my '12 vs 09/10/11's. An example (I think) is that 11-12's have the full coil/shocks when the 09-10 have leaf springs? That may not be correct, but my point is that I am having trouble determining which posts are actually applicable to my vehicle.

Any good guides/info on here already - or is 3rd party info a better way to go?

I think all 4g 1500 have rear coil overs. 3g 1500 have rear leaf springs.

welcome to rf....slt8 is correct all 4th gen 1500's have the coil overs in the rear. On 12 they changed something in the front suspension on 4x4's that makes current suspension lifts not work. 11's and 12's can't be programmed where 09's and 10's can. Somewhere(i don't know exactly when) they changed the rear differential.

Dodge locked down the PCM....I doubt we will see anything for a while. Allpar has alot of info on Rams.

On the 2011-2012 rams, do you know if the new ZF axle is any stronger then the old 9.25?

I know ZF axles had some quality control issues, and the axle itself is lighter, but is it stronger?
